JLG launches LiftPod FS80

JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company and worldwide manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers, will showcase its LiftPod FS80 personal portable lift at the M&T Expo 2012, May 29 - June 2, in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The unit will be on display in External Area, Street S18 at the Imigrantes Pavilion.

The FS80 belongs to the LiftPod line of aerial work platforms, which combines the portability of a ladder with the stability of a work platform.

The personal portable lift features an enclosed platform and has a 14-foot, 2-inch working height and 9-foot, 9-inch stowing height. Workers in the LiftPod can move hands-free with a full 360-degree range of motion.

"The LiftPod is a safe, portable and affordable solution for a variety of applications that require low-level access," said Marcio Cardoso, director of sales and marketing-South America, JLG Industries.

"We've developed this specific product based on feedback from our customers, who had a unique need for a product that could reach many different heights. We're proud to introduce the LiftPod to the Latin American market."

An attachable work tray can hold up to 33 pounds of tools and materials, and the unit has a 330-pound rated total capacity. For superior flexibility and affordability, the LiftPod is powered by an 18-volt drill or an optional power pack for increased flexibility and affordability.

The FS80 can easily be transported around the jobsite and between locations with a lifting lever that extends a third wheel for easy maneuverability. (Standing on the base retracts the wheel.) The unit can be assembled and taken apart in just 30 seconds.

The M&T Expo 2012 includes the 8th International Exhibition of Construction Equipment and 6th International Exhibition of Mining Equipment.

The tradeshow was started by a group of Brazilian engineers to promote technological development in Brazil. In 2009, more than 47000 people from 65 countries attended the show.
